EXPERTS I TRUST

MEET THE HOW TO HUNGARY EXPERTS

Trusted voices who make life here simpler, clearer, and a lot less stressful. Moving to a new country is exciting, but it’s also tricky – paperwork, healthcare, property, even finding the right community can feel overwhelming. Over the years I’ve connected with people who make that transition easier. These are experts I know, my community has used, and who come highly recommended by others navigating Hungary.

You’ll also find them listed in my book, HOW TO HUNGARY: Budapest & Beyond  because they’re the kind of people I’d want you to know about right from the start. From lawyers and insurance to citizenship and coworking, they don’t just solve problems – they help you make Hungary your home.

Immigration Lawyer

Dr. Sánta is the immigration lawyer I trust. A regular voice in our newsletter and live events, he makes visas, residence, and appeals far less daunting. He works with non-EU individuals relocating to Hungary, spouses and families, students moving from study to work, and employers hiring international talent. With 15+ years’ experience – including cases before Europe’s top courts –  he brings clarity and confidence to every stage of the process.

Citizenship Services

If you’ve got Hungarian roots, Helpers are the people I send you to – and that means emailing Vivien Tóth. She’s patient, caring, and has a gift for making this complicated process feel less intimidating. For over 20 years, Helpers has been helping people turn family stories into passports – from quick eligibility checks and family tree digging to one-on-one consultations and full application support. They’re a familiar name in the expat community, and with Vivien leading you through it step by step, you’ll never feel lost in the paperwork.

Insurance Broker

Eszter is the person I trust with all my insurance – property, car, travel, health, you name it. She’s been a senior financial consultant with Generali Biztosító Zrt since 2005, and my whole family has worked with her for years. She speaks perfect English, is active in the expat community, and is as well known for her charity work as she is for her professionalism. Always ready with a smile, Eszter makes even the paperwork side of life in Hungary feel easy.

KLUSTER

KLUSTER

Coworking Team House

KLUSTER is Budapest’s first community “team house,” built for groups of 2–20 who want to work and grow together. Their seven-storey building in the 5th District has all the modern coworking touches – meeting rooms, soundproof booths, even a Zen room – but the real magic is the community. I host our HOW TO HUNGARY live events there every month, and with Sára Ozorai leading community and content, it always feels more like a gathering place than an office.
